Ricky Reyes is a prominent hair and makeup artist of celebrities since the 80s. He has a chain of salons all over the country.
As a promotion of his salons, an ad campaign was created. The concept is to showcase the beauty of multi-generational celebrity ‘divas’ in the Philippines which whom he personally do hair and makeup to.
A headline copy created for the campaign is, “Lolah… ang ganda-ganda divahh! (Girl[friend]… isn’t she so beautiful!)”. It has a gay linggo pun to it which was a trend at that time. Highlighting the word, ‘diva’ which pertains to the diva celebrity models, and at the same time construed to mean the shortened phrase, ‘hindi ba’ (isn’t it), to complete the headline copy and to encompass the overall concept of the campaign.
The names of the celebrities and their ‘diva title’ is included with a stylized font and a play in its hue. A black background was used for an elegant feel to the collateral and a bright pink to bring some feminine touch and to match the branding.
